This tour allows you to see the production process of Owari Shippo up close and enjoy the colors and techniques through a basic experience of cloisonné under the guidance of a craftsman.

Owari Shippo is one of Japan's most representative traditional crafts, where patterns are created by firing a glassy glaze onto the surface of metal. The color and luster vary depending on the color and thickness of the glaze, the firing method, and the metal base, requiring delicate and advanced skills. This technique, which was developed in Nagoya, is highly regarded worldwide for its decorative items and tableware. At the workshop, you can observe the production process by traditional craftsmen up close, and even try your hand at basic cloisonné. It is a special experience that allows you to directly experience the artisan's skills and the allure of color.
