You can Experience traditional crafts at dyeing workshops, cloisonné workshops, and Seto Kiln, and get a glimpse of Nagoya's history and techniques.

First, at "Yamakatsu Dyeing", a long-established dyeing workshop founded in 1919 and boasting over 100 years of history, you'll learn the "Nagoya Kuromontsuki Zome" dying technique, a tradition passed down since the time of the Owari Tokugawa family's three main branches. Then, with a guided tour of a special workshop, you'll experience Family Crest printing. Next, at "Kato Shippo Seisakusho Co., Ltd.", an Owari Shippo workshop with roots dating back to the Tenpo era, you'll experience intricate cloisonné work under the guidance of a traditional craftsman, experiencing the depth of the craft and the world of beauty. Finally, at "Seto-yaki no Sato", one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns, you'll experience patterned pottery making at "Kato Tozaburo Kiln Seto", a workshop run by the 31st generation of the family that continues the tradition of pottery that dates back to the Kamakura period. Experience the time-honored techniques of this kiln, which has served as the Official Kiln for the Owari Tokugawa family since the Edo period, and savor the essence of traditional Japanese crafts in a private space steeped in history and technique.
